Oscar Fashion!!

Lets start out on a positive note-there were quiet a few!

Sandra Bullock-golden and good-not my fav, but it was nice to see her go a little girly and still have a little fun

Anna Kendrick-just right, though the color on her pale skin and dark hair almost washed her out to much

Miley Cyrus-finally realized young girls look up to her and dressed like a woman who might be young, but is mega successful...though the top could have fit better

Kristen Stewart-just because she was in a dress w/o sneakers!!! and didn't look angry the entire night!!

Rachel McAdams-fun, flirty, young!

Demi Moore-pretty in peach, and the dress fit her, and her personality

Meryl Streep-not really a best, but a much better than what we’ve seen from her

Eizabeth Banks-a bit of a risk, but this was ruffles done right, and the color was outstanding....FAVORITE

Then, there was the confusing, awkward, might have worked-but didn't

J.Lo does bubble wrap? did she want to go home as a party gift? I didn't think it was possible to make her butt look bigger. Sorry, she has a great ass-but there's no need to add a yard of plastic to it.

Cameron Diaz-it was pretty, I'm fairly certain I’ve seen it...on Taylor Swift.

Gabourey Sidibe-shes done a lot better before, this was to old for her

Mo’Nique-again, I’ve seen better....but at least it was full length

Penelope Cruz-I'm sorry, but it was a bit bridesmaid for me...ok, a lot bridesmaid

OK, what you really want---THE BAD!

Sarah Jessica Parker-umm? since when are satin sheets Oscar appropriate?

Vera Farmiga--you might disagree, but i thought she looked like a candy wrapper, and thats not a good thing at the Oscars

Charlize Theron-I love her, but the ‘here are my boobs’ swirls and uber-blonde hair with the red lips and purple dress just did not work. At all. Wow, she is usually so good-this was so bad. Maybe her ex boyfriend dressed her all those years, and now she has to do it herself?

Maggie Gyllenhaal--tie dye-floral watercolor?

Mariah Carey-we get it, your sexy, you have curves, now could you cover up some-or any of them?

Faith Hill-lacey lady-and not in a good way

Anika Noni Rose-broken mirror bustier, add a tablecloth dress and there it was!

Worst?

Zoe Saldana-bad-just bad...like a bad glitter prom top with ombre purple furry caterpillars at the bottom--not good-in fact, my least fav

Diane Kruger-the black ruffle choker and pieces broke it up in funny ways and was so harsh against her skin, and dress color-tie for least fav.

Oscars Baby!

The big night was finally here, and boy did it deliver-lets talk winners, and losers

Best Director: Kathryn Bigelow...eat your heart out James (aka-her ex husband, and biggest competitor of the evening)...that was true directing, and a huge step forward for women!
The Hurt Locker being named Best Picture was also a huge win! A win I was hoping for. I'm sorry, Avatar advanced cinematography and art, but the writing, plot, acting etc were nothing that has not been seen before, it was actually seen before-better, so I was pleased.

Avatar won where it should have, best art directon, and cinematography.

No one was surprised by the supporting winners of the evening:
Mo'nique, and Christoph Waltz

The Best Actor category was taken by Jeff Bridges, as it should have been.

Best Actress was a bit more nail-biting, but alas Sandra Bullock would prevail. Her performance was stunning. Though I feel for Meryl Streep, who is a bit like Susan Lucci....lots of nominations, few wins. However,

The John hughes look-back was awesome, in that he will always be the 80's king! Plus, that cast gathering of Hughes past was amazing!

Precious finally got a little more than Mo'Nique love, with best adapted screenplay.

The sadness was hit when Robin Williams announced the supporting actress category...reminding us all that last years recipient, Heath Ledger was no longer.

All in all, a good show. I was reminded that movie-goers still love a good story over flashy tricks. That even if you picked up a few Razzies the night before, you can still go home with Oscar. That yes, being better than your ex at what many consider his calling, can look and feel, damn good!
It was a good night in hollywood-though I think someone left Farrah out of the memoriam. Hmmm....something to think about until the real dish tomorrow-who, wore what!
